Frequently Asked Questions
-
I work with adults and couples seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, identity-related stress, and major life transitions. Many clients are high-functioning professionals who feel outwardly successful but internally overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected. I also work with couples looking to improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen emotional intimacy.
-
My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and individualized. I draw primarily from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy. This allows us to explore how past experiences and relational patterns influence present-day thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also developing practical strategies to manage symptoms and improve emotional regulation. Therapy is tailored to your goals rather than following a rigid or one-size-fits-all model.
-
The first session is a chance for us to begin understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope to change. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant personal history, and goals for treatment. You do not need to prepare anything in advance or know exactly what to say. My role is to create a supportive, structured space where we can determine whether working together feels like a good fit.

The length of therapy varies depending on your needs and goals. Some clients seek short-term therapy focused on a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term therapy for deeper self-exploration and sustained change. We will regularly check in about progress and adjust the pace and focus of therapy as needed.

Many clients find online therapy fits well into their schedules and supports consistency, especially during periods of transition or high demand.

I do not accept insurance directly. However, many clients use out-of-network benefits. I can provide a superbill for submission to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance directly to confirm benefits.
-
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are typically charged at the full session fee. This policy helps maintain consistency and availability for all clients.
